Malay, a first-class Municipality is the tourism capital of the Province of Aklan. Located at the northwestern tip of Panay Island, it is bounded on the north by Sibuyan and Sulu Seas, on the east by the Municipality of Nabas, on the west by the Municipality of Buruanga and on the south by the Province of Antique. Having a total land area of 6,731 hectares, it is politically divided into 17 barangays.

Other Municipalities provide aide for Boracay Rehabilitation

 

Boracay Island, Malay, Aklan – Different LGU’s from Aklan work hand-in-hand as the second day of the rehabilitation efforts for Boracay Island continues.

 

Taken earlier are photos of some of the workers from Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Offices of Numancia and New Washington together with the DPWH near Cagban Ibabaw as they provide assistance with the road widening operations being done in the island of Boracay.

 

The Local Government Unit of Malay was also given support by different municipalities in Aklan and the DPWH in order to obtain the objective that is to successfully rehabilitate Boracay in six (6) months.
