Malay, a first-class Municipality is the tourism capital of the Province of Aklan. Located at the northwestern tip of Panay Island, it is bounded on the north by Sibuyan and Sulu Seas, on the east by the Municipality of Nabas, on the west by the Municipality of Buruanga and on the south by the Province of Antique. Having a total land area of 6,731 hectares, it is politically divided into 17 barangays.


How to secure Zoning Clearance?

  1. Proceed to Municipal Planning & Development Office at 2nd Floor Malay Municipal Hall, Poblacion, Malay, Aklan or at 2nd Floor Malay Municipal Hall Annex, Balabag, Boracay Island, Malay, Aklan.
  2. Present the requirements to the Zoning Staff.
  3. The Zoning Staff will examine your business location and check if it conforms with the easement standard in the area and Zoning or Land Use Plan of the Municipality.
  4. If clear, wait for the release of your Zoning Clearance.

  2. SEC Registration with by Laws (for corporation) Special Investors Visa (Foreigner)
  3. Building Plans with Site Development Plan with Technical Description (Drawn to scale) and vicinity Map (7 sets)
  4. Indicate the number of rooms / number of storey
  5. Sketch Plan of the Lot
  6. Right over Land (2 copies)
    1.     Title/Tax Declaration
    2.     Deed of Absolute Sale
    3.     Deed of Donation
    4.     Contract of Lease
  7. Taxes Payment Proof for the Current Year (2 copies)
    1. Latest Land Tax Receipt
    2. Business Tax (for exesting business)
    3. Latest Corporate Tax (for registered corporation)
  8. Bill of Materials and Labor (2 copies)
  9. Barangay Clearance for the Construction
  10. Ocular Inspection
