Malay, a first-class Municipality is the tourism capital of the Province of Aklan. Located at the northwestern tip of Panay Island, it is bounded on the north by Sibuyan and Sulu Seas, on the east by the Municipality of Nabas, on the west by the Municipality of Buruanga and on the south by the Province of Antique. Having a total land area of 6,731 hectares, it is politically divided into 17 barangays.

How to secure Occupancy Permitor Certificate of Occupancy?

  1. Proceed to Municipal Engineering Office at 2F Malay Municipal Hall, Poblacion, Malay, Aklan or at 2F Malay Municipal Hall Annex, Balabag, Boracay Island, Malay, Aklan.
  2. Present/submit the requirements to Engineering staff.
  3. The Engineering staff will examine and conduct field validation to the location.
  4. If clear, wait for the release of Occupancy Permit/Certificate of Occupancy.

 

Requirements:

  • Completion Certificate Form A (Building) - duly signed by Architect/Civil Engineer
  • Completion Certificate Form B (Sanitary) - duly signed by Sanitary Engineer/Master Plumber
  • Completion Certificate Form C (Eletrical) - duly signed by PEE or ME
  • Logbook - duly signed by Architect/Civil Engineer
  • Photocopy of Building Permit
  • Photocopy of Sanitary Permit
  • Photocopy of Sanitary Permit
  • Photocopy of Mechanical Permit
  • Fire Safety Inspection Certificate
  • Final Inspection (to be done by Municipal Engineering Office)
